Slowly getting there...
I have four needle-felting projects (people) on the go at the moment. I don't know what it is that makes me start a new one before I've finished the first, but it's definitely a feature of my working method (for want of a better word). It's actually a somewhat chaotic procedure that leads to new roads and dead ends almost at the same moment. I follow the direction my creative energy wants to go in - whether to avoid a decision on one project, or to relinquish it as another suddenly demands to be born.
Eventually, I need to finish everything as I run out of room to work and to store half-finished people. I have at least four (I'm refusing to look in the box to count them) cloth dolls that need to be finished as well. There appears to be a part of me that wants to finish the needle-felting first and get all the vast quantities of wool out the way in order to make room for vast quantities of fabric.
And then there's tweaking. I am inclined to continue tweaking for a very long time. So, I'm really hoping that I can finish them off well enough to fend off any unnecessary tiny changes that only I will ever notice (probably).
So... in theory these felted folk should be in the shop soon - ish. Two are based on Autumn and the concept of abundance. One is a 'bust' - a project inspired by a particularly unsatisfactory tussle with some felted fingers (they are fiendishly tricky). The last one is possibly some sort of exotic elven person in pink and green.
Can't wait to see them finished...
